Estonian National Girls’ Choir LEELO

Estonian National Girls’ Choir LEELO, conducted by Külli Kiivet, was founded in 1996. 

The choir is formed by girls, age 15-25, with good vocal and sheet-reading skills. The girls come together from all over Estonia, therefore the choir rehearsals are held 6-8 times a year in various places of Estonia and last for 3 days. Almost each of the practice session is finished with a concert at a local cultural facility with local choirs or artists. By the years, LEELO has participated in several local and international competitions and has gained high ranks.

Additionally, the choir has performed in nationally significant concerts (anniversary of the Republic of Estonia, Fathers’ day concert), celebrated choirs’ 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th and 25th anniversaries with gala concerts and produced several independent concert projects with soloists and musicians as well as released three CDs.
